MAP Health approached us with a bold vision; to create personalised wellness plans that felt intuitive for patients and efficient for clinics, from complex health data — DNA results, blood tests, continuous glucose monitoring, and lifestyle information.

They turned to us to design a high-fidelity prototype capable of supporting fundraising, partner conversations, and phased product development. Our solution combined AI–driven data interpretation with user–centred design to reduce clinic burden and engage users in their health.

Exploring UI's for different data types was a fun challenge.

The status quo: data rich, insight poor

Before we got involved, patients faced overwhelming information, and clinicians had no efficient way to interpret and act on data. The result: risk of disengagement, inefficiencies, and a lack of differentiation in a growing personalised health market.

Team insight

"The data complexity and burden it placed on both patients and clinicians became apparent early in the process, highlighting the need for a more human-centred experience."

The challenge: making complex AI-powered data feel human, quickly

The MAP Health team needed to demonstrate their product's value quickly. The challenge was how to integrate sensitive, multi–source data while addressing the needs of both patients and clinicians. Failing to solve this would make clinic buy–in considerably harder.

Our approach: design meets AI

We ran user research with both patients and clinicians, designed a human–centred onboarding questionnaire, and built a modular interface for health insights. We prototyped patient and clinician flows, tested them iteratively, and integrated AI to automate plan creation — making complex data clear and actionable.

The outcome: a validated prototype with real impact

MAP Health now has a working prototype that simplifies onboarding, personalises care, and reduces clinical workload. It's been key to securing early clinic partnerships and investment interest. In the words of co–founder Andrew Melton, the product has received "unequivocal positive reviews from our clients".
